Shipping Policy

At The Cast Iron Shop, we keep shipping simple: one flat rate, tracked courier, New Zealand wide.

Shipping Summary

Shipping is a flat $9.99 per order anywhere in New Zealand. Orders are usually processed within 1 to 2 business days, and delivery usually takes 5 to 8 business days after dispatch.

1. Shipping Locations

We currently ship within New Zealand only, including rural addresses. We don't ship overseas at this stage.

2. Shipping Cost

Shipping is a flat $9.99 per order, no matter how many items you buy or how heavy they are. Yes, that includes the big ovens; cast iron is heavy and we wear that cost.

3. Order Processing Time

Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days after payment is received. Processing can take longer during busy periods such as sales, holidays and the winter rush, and orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or public holidays.

4. Estimated Delivery Time

Delivery usually takes 5 to 8 business days after your order has been dispatched. Delivery times are estimates only. Occasional delays can happen due to courier volumes, weather events or public holidays.

5. Tracking Information

Every order ships by tracked courier. Once the carrier accepts your parcel we'll email you the tracking number. Please allow 1 to 2 business days for tracking to start updating.

6. Shipping Address Changes

Please check your delivery details carefully before placing your order. If you need to change your address, email us as soon as possible with your order number and the correct address. Once an order has been dispatched we usually can't redirect it.

7. PO Box Addresses

Our couriers can't deliver to PO Boxes, and most of our parcels are too heavy for a PO Box anyway. Please provide a physical street address.

8. Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses

You're responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. If a parcel comes back to us because of an address error, we'll contact you to arrange reshipment, and an additional shipping charge may apply. If a parcel is lost because the address provided was incorrect, we may not be able to offer a refund or replacement.

9. Lost or Missing Parcels

If your parcel seems lost in transit, email us with your order number and we'll open an investigation with the courier. If the courier confirms the parcel is lost, we'll send a replacement or issue a full refund, your choice.

10. Damaged Parcels

Cast iron is tough, but enamel can chip if a box has a hard trip. If your order arrives damaged, email us as soon as possible with your order number, clear photos of the item and the packaging, and a short description. We'll arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you, as set out in our Refund Policy.

11. Delivery Delays

We do our best to get every order to you inside the estimated timeframe, but some delays are outside our control, including courier network issues, severe weather and public holidays. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
